When we talk about the Dedham Savings community, we mean every single one of our clients, neighbors, and local organizations who help make our community so special — and we’re proud to support lots of projects that are doing just that. So whether you’re next door or the next town over, we hope you join us in building a community we’re all proud of.

Our Giving Philosophy

We put a lot of thought into deciding where our contributions will have the most impact. With that in mind, we welcome requests from organizations that serve the following areas:

Community Growth and Stability

Economic Development

Housing

Financial Wellness

Education

Youth

Arts

We also give special consideration to organizations that meet any of the following criteria:

1.

The organization hasn’t requested funds from us within the last 12 months, or 24 months for Foundation requests.

2.

We’ve supported the organization in the past.

3.

The organization is located within the communities we serve.

4.

The organization meets our philosophy in filling needs and benefitting local communities.

	Reason for Request	Timing	Towns Served & Funds Granted In
Sponsorship Donation Application Form	Support of a local community event, fundraiser, or similar activity. The organization typically provides an ad or logo on their materials, displays banners and similar signage at events, or provides some other type of advertising or recognition.	Ongoing throughout the year. Request must be submitted 45 days in advance of event. Special consideration given to organizations that haven’t requested funds from us in the last 12 months	Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood and surrounding areas
Dedham Savings Community Foundation Grant Application Form	An organization whose work benefits disadvantaged populations in communities served by Dedham Savings, and is requesting funds for one-time identifiable capital expenditures or projects. Requests for Operating Expenses will not be considered.	Our Foundation operates on a semi-annual grant cycle. Applications are due April 30 for the June cycle and October 31 for the December cycle. Organizations may apply 24 months from date of last grant award.	Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood and surrounding areas

Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Dedham Village Preservation Association

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to the Dedham Village Preservation Association. Funds will be used for re-fabrication of iron work, masonry repair, and restoration of the Farrington and Whiting Plot fences at Dedham Old Village Cemetery. The renovation work will provide a safer and more expository display to one of Dedham’s most important historic resources.
