The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has made a grant to Children’s Services of Roxbury to support their capital building campaign initiatives. Grant funds will support the organization’s plan for growth and scaling of their programs over the next 3-5 years, reaching 1,500 additional community members across Massachusetts and creating more than 175 career-oriented jobs.
ABOUT CHILDREN’S SERVICES OF ROXBURY
Children’s Services of Roxbury is a nonprofit organization run by and for people of color. Located in the heart of Boston’s multicultural communities, with additional services in Worcester, Western MA, and Northern MA, Children’s Services of Roxbury serves 6,000 children and families annually. Children’s Services of Roxbury provides housing for homeless families, affordable childcare, children’s mental health services, intensive foster care, and youth development programs to Massachusetts’ most vulnerable families.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve. These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood. Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.
