Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports the Dedham Community Association
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $12,000 to the Dedham Community Association. These funds will be used toward the purchase of hand sanitizer dispensers and two large tents for the Dedham Community House’s 2021 summer camp. This popular and affordable day camp serves children in the community from ages 5 to 14 years.
The Dedham Community Association is a nearly 100-year-old nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting educational, recreational, and civic interests to enhance the lives of all residents in Dedham and its surrounding towns. In addition to the summer camp, the Association offers year-round preschool for children ages 15 months to 5 years, a summer pool, and a variety of classes for children and adults that include dancing, acting, exercise, CPR, swimming sports, babysitting lessons and more.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood and contiguous areas. Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
