Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports DOVE
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $5,000 to DOVE (Domestic Violence Ended), located in Quincy, where a major shelter renovation is underway. The grant will be used to repair the building’s four porches, increasing the safety of the building for DOVE’s clients and staff. These funds will complement support received from a number of other companies and organizations in completion of the overall rehabilitation project.
DOVE provides comprehensive support services to victims of domestic and dating violence, including hotline, shelter, crisis intervention services, supportive education and counseling, support groups, clinical services for children and adolescents, legal assistance, and assistance accessing governmental and community-based services.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood and contiguous areas. Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
