Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Father Bills & Mainspring

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has made a grant to Father Bills & MainSpring. Funds will be used to toward the construction of a 16,500 square foot multi-use Housing Resource Center in Brockton that will offer an array of 24-hour services. Construction is underway and the Center is projected to open in early 2025. The new location will replace MainSpring House in downtown Brockton and will include: a commercial kitchen and dining space; showers, laundry, lockers, and access to technology/library for guests and daytime clients; private meeting space and stations staff and partner resources; and a full-service medical clinic operated by Brockton Neighborhood Health Center; two dormitories accommodating 128 shelter beds, including respite beds; and convertible space for daytime programs and additional shelter beds as needed.

Father Bill’s & MainSpring has been a leading innovator in ending homelessness for four decades. Their mission is to end and prevent homelessness in Southern Massachusetts with programs that provide emergency and permanent housing and help people obtain skills, jobs, housing, and services. They help people who are struggling with homelessness, or are at risk of homelessness, achieve self-sufficiency.

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area.
