The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated to Horizons at Dedham Country Day School. Grant Funds will be used to purchase a high-lumen projector and screen to be used for impactful summer programming, academic-year community building events, and capacity building fundraising functions. This special high brightness, 4K resolution projector will enhance programming and community engagement efforts and would enable clear, vibrant visuals suitable for diverse indoor and outdoor spaces, accommodating events of all sizes.
ABOUT HORIZONS AT DEDHAM COUNTRY DAY SCHOOL
Horizons at Dedham Country Day School is a Pre-K through 8th Grade tuition-free, summer academic enrichment program serving scholars from communities in Boston and Dedham deeply impacted by educational inequities. Students have the opportunity to build skills that will support them on their path to economic stability and personal wellbeing. Through a dedicated support structure of experienced teachers and staff, Scholars develop new interests and build long-term academic goals—all while learning the critical importance of cultivating relationships.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area.
These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood, and contiguous areas. Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations.
The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year. Organizations wishing to request funding from the Foundation may apply online at www.dedhamsavings.com/community.
