Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Mass Insight Education and Research

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $10,000 to Mass Insight Education and Research. Funds will be used to purchase hardware and software for managing program registration and attendance for the organization’s Saturday Study Sessions.  Data collected will help the organization with assessing and leveraging data to drive decision-making and amplify student impact. The Saturday Study Sessions are integral to the organization’s program to provide high-quality academic support and resources for systemically marginalized students.

ABOUT MASS INSIGHTS EDUCATION AND RESEARCH

Mass Insights, located in Boston, partners with states, districts, schools, and communities to implement customized educational strategies, and build capacity to advance equity and opportunity in K-12 education.  Mass Insights organizes and facilitate nearly 140 sessions, on a weekly basis where hundreds of students across the Commonwealth are engaged academic support that will prepare them to succeed. In 2022, the program recorded 18,180 student attendances which, represents 81,810 hours of additional support for the students in both a virtual and in person environment.  

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve.  These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood.  Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations.  The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.
