Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports New Life Furniture Bank of MA
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $2,500 to New Life Furniture Bank of MA. The grant award is part of larger fundraising initiative by the organization to purchase a new delivery vehicle. The vehicle will allow the Furniture Bank to assist families transitioning from homelessness and provide support while rebuilding their homes.
ABOUT New Life Furntiure Bank of MA
New Life Furniture Bank of MA is a volunteer-led nonprofit organization that accepts furniture and household items and makes them available at no charge to those in need to assist families transitioning out of homelessness. New Life provides support to families and individuals who are fire survivors, military veterans, and those escaping domestic violence, to furnish their homes, provide comfort, security, and hope as they rebuild their lives.
About Dedham Savings Community Foundation
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve.
These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood. Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.
