Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Reynolds Center TLC
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded grant funds to Reynolds Center TLC. The funds will be used as part of a community revitalization project in Dedham to develop a 3,000 square foot educational media learning center called TLC Studios.
TLC Studios will be a creativity and innovation community center featuring digital media production (green screen/podcasting studios) and digital engineering design and fabrication studios (maker labs), as well as a physical and virtual training facility for teachers and students. The space will provide state-of-the art professional development/presentation facilities and host special community events.
ABOUT REYNOLDS CENTER TLC
The Reynolds Center for Teaching, Learning and Creativity is a 501-c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to ensuring that all learners develop the vision, confidence, knowledge, skills and sense of purpose needed to move their own lives forward, and to use their talents, strengths and energy to move their communities and the world to a better place. To that end, Reynolds Center TLC develops, tests, and supports tools and programs that promote creativity and innovation in teaching and learning in both formal (school) and informal (museums, libraries, community centers) spaces, including intentional focus on underserved, economically disadvantaged communities around the globe.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve. These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood. Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.
