Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Jewish Family & Children’s Services

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has awarded a grant to Jewish Family & Children’s Services (JF&CS). The funds will be used for improvements and renovations to the building that houses their day and employment programs for adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Canton. In addition to creating a safe and attractive space for current and future clients, the repairs will also help JF&CS attract more clients to their programs.

ABOUT JEWISH FAMILY & CHILDREN’S SERVICES

Jewish Family & Children’s Service cares for individuals and families by providing exceptional human services guided by Jewish traditions of social responsibility, compassion, and respect for all members of the community. They help individuals and families build a strong foundation for resilience and well-being across the lifespan, from infancy to old age; serving more than 14,000 people each year to help people address mental health and well-being, economic insecurity, and disability concerns.

ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation was formed by Dedham Savings for the purpose of funding requests from community organizations which provide services to the communities that they serve. These communities generally, but not exclusively, include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, and Westwood.  Typical requests are usually received from such organizations as schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation will accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice a year.

Organizations wishing to request funding from the Foundation may apply online at www.dedhamsavings.com/community.
