Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Ursuline Academy
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated $5,000 to Ursuline Academy. This grant will help Ursuline Academy to purchase a multi-use minibus to facilitate service projects, athletic transportation, and the general transportation needs of the Academy. Ursuline students are consistently learning and serving both on and off campus, and reliable transportation will help further develop their Campus Ministry offerings in the community.
ABOUT URSULINE ACADEMY
Ursuline Academy is an independent Catholic school for young women in grades 7-12. The Academy fosters respect, compassion, intellectual curiosity, and a commitment to service. Inspired by the legacy of St. Angela Merici, students grow to be women of integrity who engage in their communities with purpose and presence.
ABOUT DEDHAM SAVINGS COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
The Dedham Savings Community Foundation is a privately funded foundation created by Dedham Savings in 2000 to provide financial support to charitable organizations that serve disadvantaged populations within the Bank’s community reinvestment area. These communities include Dedham, Needham, Norwood, Sharon, South Boston, Walpole, Westwood and contiguous areas. Typical requests are received from schools, libraries, family service organizations and non-profit organizations. The Trustees of the Foundation accept grant requests from community organizations and make awards twice per year.
