Dedham Savings Continues to Expand Commercial Lending Team
Charles Shediac and Karen Cohn have joined the Dedham Savings Commercial Lending team as Senior Vice Presidents, and James Horrigan has been promoted to Senior Vice President, according to announcement by Douglas Shaw, Commercial Lending Executive Vice President.
Stated Shaw, “We couldn’t be more pleased to have such experienced and talented lenders like Charlie and Karen join our growing Commercial team. Paired with current lenders like Jim, who has been a key to our growth in the past 2 years, we have a strong team that understands the local market and has strong relationships throughout the business community.”
CHARLES SHEDIAC
As Senior Vice President, Charles Shediac is responsible for growing the Dedham Savings commercial real estate loan portfolio and business deposits, as well as developing new client relationships. With over 45 years of experience in commercial real estate lending, he has held similar senior level lending positions at several Boston area banks. Shediac is an active member of his community in Boston, including in his current role as Chairman of the Board for Notre Dame Education Center in South Boston. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Suffolk University.
KAREN COHN
As Senior Vice President, Karen Cohn brings nearly 45 years of lending experience to the Dedham Savings Commercial team. Well-versed in all aspects of commercial real estate lending and sales development, she will work to expand the commercial real estate portfolio and grow business deposits. Cohn attended Bentley College. In the community, she serves as Treasurer for Notre Dame Education Center. She lives in Mashpee with her beloved dog Tonka and has three children and one grandchild.
JAMES HORRIGAN
Newly promoted to Senior Vice President, James Horrigan is responsible for commercial business development. Joining Dedham Savings two years ago, he has over 30 years of experience in commercial lending, with extensive knowledge of the local market. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Pennsylvania, and also completed Commercial Credit Training. In the community, Horrigan serves as President of the New England Chapter of the Risk Management Association (RMA), is a Board member of the South Eastern Economic Development (SEED) Corporation, and is active with the South Shore Chamber of Commerce. He also volunteers as a swim official in Canton and serves as a judge for the National Forensic League. Horrigan lives in Canton with his wife and their two children.
