Dedham Savings Promotes Members of Commercial Lending Division

Doug Shaw, Executive Vice President, Senior Lending Officer at Dedham Savings has announced promotions in the Commercial Lending Division, including Martin Connors to Senior Vice President and Scott Richards to Assistant Vice President.

MARTIN CONNORS

In his role as Senior Vice President, Connors serves as a member of the Commercial Lending leadership team, where he cultivates and manages Commercial client relationships and oversees the Commercial Lending Portfolio Manager.  He also serves on the Bank’s Loan Quality Committee. With over a decade of financial services experience, Connors has served in roles of increasing responsibility within the Commercial Lending Division.

Connors earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics & Accounting from College of the Holy Cross and a Master of Business Administration degree from the Carroll School of Management at Boston College. Connors is also a graduate of the American Bankers Association Stonier Graduate School of Banking and holds a Leadership Certificate from The Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.

In the community, Connors volunteers as a Francis Ouimet Scholarship Fund Alumni Interviewer and is a member of the Ouimet Committee at the Dedham Country & Polo Club. He is also a member of The Boys & Girls Club of Boston Friends Council and a member of the Board of Governors and Admissions Committee at the University Club of Boston. Connors lives with his wife and daughter in South Boston.

SCOTT RICHARDS

In his role as Assistant Vice President, Richards is responsible for Commercial Loan origination, including commercial real estate, construction, and C&I lending. He also oversees the Bank’s Cannabis Lending and Condominium Association Lending programs. With nearly 15 years of banking experience, Richards has been at Dedham Savings for ten years, serving in several roles of progressive responsibility within the Commercial Lending Division.  

Richards holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Saint Anselm College and has completed the Commercial Credit for Lenders & Analysts training program through the Risk Management Association, New England Chapter. Richards serves on the Board of Directors for the Neponset River Regional Chamber of Commerce and is a member of the New England Chapter of the Community Associations Institute. Richards lives in Franklin with his wife and three children.
