Dedham Savings Community Foundation Supports Peak House Heritage Center

The Dedham Savings Community Foundation has donated to Peak House Heritage Center. The grant funds will be used to restore eleven historic Elizabethan-style windows in the 313-year-old Peak House, a historical landmark located in Medfield. The intricate lead glass window repairs will be completed by a lead glass expert and new sashes and frames will be constructed by a preservation specialist to maintain the authenticity and integrity of the original fabrication and placement.

The Peak House is one of the earliest surviving examples of post-medieval English (Elizabethan) architecture, as well as being the only free-standing structure of its kind in the United States. The Peak House Heritage Center offers intriguing exhibits and interactive experiences, tours, special events, and cultural tourism.
